Reviews from Previous Ramblers

"It says a lot that the farmers and the volunteers are what made our weekend special."

Each year visitors are asked to fill in an evaluation form to let us know how we are doing. In 2006 we had a wonderful response and received a large number. Much to our delight, many of you told us that you will be back! Thanks to everyone who responded.

"We enjoyed every stop. The hosts and guides were most helpful and knowledgeable.  I think the variety of stops on the ramble  makes for a more interesting visit."

"We will definitely be back next year!"

"Great weekend! We loved it all and the kids loved berry picking. My 3 year old son loved picking the blueberries and eating them!"

"My husband and I were also quite impressed with our guide at the Dorland dairy farm.  He was a young man who had worked on the farm.  After what was probably a very long weekend explaining the same things over and over, he was very patient and kind."

"We have two boys who are 5 and 2.  When we asked our 5 year old what his favourite things were he had a large list (and the pig producers were at the top).  When we asked our 2 year old, out of the animals, machinery, food, etc., he said that he liked "playing with Mark the best".  Mark (I hope that is his name) is the young fellow at the pig producers.  He was very kind and explained all of the farm machinery to our two year old.  Our son cried when we had to leave.  So, please pass on our thanks to Mark for being the high-point in our son's weekend, and to Mark's family for raising such a fine young man!"

"We liked the lambs at Pollocks, in fact we liked pretty much everything. Very well organized."

"We took our three year old granddaughter  on the tour but at the Carousel, the grandparents enjoyed the ride!"

"The ride through the sugar bush was nice.  All 3 of us realized that there is more  to see in our area than we realized."

"This year we went to Red Cloud and we always learn something new on Rural Ramble."

"We loved the alpacas – fascinating animals – very knowledgeable tour. Our two and three old loved seeing the animals. We loved watching their little faces light up with absolute delight!"

"The greenhouse was our favourite stop. We liked everything – well informed guides."

"Taking our 3 year old granddaughter we only managed 4 stops. She loved them all and stop number 16 (Donkey Sanctuary) was great for kids!"

"Very impressed! Loved the butter making at Buttar’s. Grandchildren and myself loved every minute of it.

"I always love a refreshing pause at  Dorothy’s House during my travels."

"Our grandson Mathew couldn’t wait  to get to Memory Junction!"

"We were treated royally."

"It was very interesting to learn about local history and the harvesting of wild rice."
