FAQs

Some Frequently Asked Questions

. . . and our answers to assist you!

How do I find out about the stops on the tour? Where are they?

When you purchase your passport it provides descriptions and details about the numerous stops on the tour including farms and rural attractions and a few other places of interest.  A map is also provided in the passport. For more information about the sites and activities, please go to our  Things to Do page here online.

 At the Alpaca Farm

Where do we get our wristbands?

Wristbands are provided with your passport and must be worn for admittance into the farm sites. To find a Passport sales location convenient for you, please visit our Passports page online for further information or call us at 1.877.461.3276

What types of farms are there on the tour?

Rural Ramble strives to provide our visitors with an array of farms depicting several types of traditional and specialty farms. We usually have at least two dairy farms and beef farms along with crop and alternative method or livestock operations.  You can therefore select which places best suit your rinterests.

We are trying to plan our route but I don't think we can go to all the stops. How do we fit it all in?

You would be hard pressed to get to each and every site. We provide you with a variety to chose from so that you may select the sites that interest your traveling party the most. We also encourage you to come again next year and maybe plan a whole other route for yourself. Some people find it easier to travel around doing just one side of the county one day and the other side on the next day.

Is the tour accessible for wheelchairs and strollers?

Most site activities and displays take place at ground level in open areas and will not present a problem. Should you have any concerns, please speak to us in advance by calling 1.877.461.3276 or upon arriving at a site please inquire with the greeter who is there to assist you.

Are there places to sit and rest?

You may wish to bring along lawn chairs as seating at some sits may be occupied during times of peak visits. Some benches and bales are made available for your touring convenience, and some commercial stops (like Rhonda's Antiques) have purposely set up rest areas for Ramble visitors.

Are there toilets?

Yes. For your convenience, regular portable toilets are on site at the farms.

Can we bring Fido?

Sorry, for bio-security reasons, we cannot risk your pets or our livestocks health, so please leave Fido or Fluffy at home with a good sitter.

Due to government regulation around the safety of our food supply, we cannot make ANY exceptions to this rule.

Because it is outside, we can smoke, right?

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the host sites for fire safety and insurance reasons.  Our hosts are not allowed to make exceptions to this rule.

Do we have to get our passports in advance?

We suggest that visitors obtain their passports in advance so that they may review the tour sites and map to plan their own personalized route. You can also take advantage of the discounted rate for passports purchased before the weekend of the event.

On the weekend of the tour, you may obtain your passports from the Co-op Stores listed on the Passports page of our website and from any of the site hosts.
